5 Ways To Spice Up Your Water


I started drinking water only. For a few months and then I added lemon to it. Then some glasses with cucumbers in it. Now I don't drink water without something in it and it has made an even bigger change to how I feel and my skin.
I have been drinking 5-6 glasses of water for the past 6 months. 6 glasses equals around 3 liters of water because of the 0,5 liter glasses I drink from. This has made my skin less dry, my body feeling better than ever and a glow in my eyes. I don't apply cream to my hands or my lips as often as I did before. Before, where I drank maybe 1,5 liters a day if I was lucky. 
Putting something in your water is what you can call 'living water'. Putting something, like a cucumber slice or lemon juice will make the water hydrating. Let's get into the ways you can spice up your water:

1. Lemon and cucumber
Lemon water is amazing in the morning. I typically drink two glasses of water before breakfast and then after I cut some cucumber slices and put those in my water for a fresh taste. This has definitely made me drink more water and I love the combination of the two. Both lemon and cucumber is packed with vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin C, magnesium and calcium. 

2. Blueberry and strawberry
If you want a sweet taste to your water throw in some berries. I absolutely love the mix of strawberries and blueberries. Cut the berries into smaller pieces, I usually cut the blueberries in half and the strawberry into quaters for more taste. Also filled with vitamin A, vitamin C, magnesium and calcium. 

3. Lemon balm 
Lemon balm has a nice fresh flavor and it east to grow in your garden. Roll the leaves between your fingers for more flavor and let it soak in the water until you have the desired taste or let it be while you drink the water. Absolutely amazing to mix with fruits like strawberries and blueberries for a bit of sweetness.


4. Oranges 
Whenever I eat an orange and cut of the end I always squeeze it into my water. I love the taste of it - such a nice fresh flavor. Like strawberries and blueberries oranges is filled with vitamin A, vitamin C, magnesium and calcium.

5. Mint leaves
Mint is definitely not for everyone. I am not totally crazy about it to be honest but I love the fresh taste it gives water. Roll the leaves between your fingers and let it soak in the water for a couple of minutes or until you have the desired taste.

More tips: 
- Mix different fruits and veggies together. For example strawberry and cucumber for more flavor and benefits. I like to mix the juice of an orange with cucumber slices. 

- Make flavored ice cubes. In the summer squeeze lemons or oranges and pour the juice into an ice cube container, freeze them and you have amazing flavorful ice cubes. So nice in the hot weather.You can also cut fruit and veggies like cucumber or blueberries into smaller pieces and put them into the the ice cub container with some water and let it freeze. 

- For maximum flavor, let the fruit or veggie sit in the water overnight.
